The Place Called Home - Part 2

This piece of land used to be where the Tang Dynasty City was. The once-majestic tourist draw officially shut itself down when I was about to enter JC, after a prolonged period of silence and inactivity.

Speaking of which I should be ashamed of myself for never even entered the tourist site before. The only memory I have with me now is a picture taken outside the main gain when I was still a little kid.

Now and Then

As I was digging the old pics, I found another one taken around the area:

haha!
My sister must be thinking: "why am I taking picture with this retarded person???"

The 154 bus stop near my old house
I had a love-hate relationship with this bus stop, where I used to wait for the low-frequency 154 every morning, for SIX years.

I remember when I was in Nan Hua, I faithfully took the 0610 bus and reached school as early as 0630 just to accompany Huiqin, because her father had to send her off early before work started. That was also when I befriended my fellow bus companions - Michael and Bryant.

Many people thought me crazy when I opted SAJC as my first choice after leaving Nan Hua. Not only I gave up the MOE's invitation and scholarship to enter Hwa Chong JC, I also chose to travel across (almost) 2 ends of Singapore to a school where it's neither known for outstanding academic establishments nor CCA achievements.

Haha. Maybe I was indeed crazy.

I had to catch the 0604 bus every morning just to be on time for morning assembly. If I missed it, I would probably be caught in the traffic jam and be late for school. Alas, I hate it when latecomers were punished to sit outside the General Office, and be stared at like animals in the zoo by the other students as they streamed back to their classes. >_<

Oh wells... those were the times....

A recently developed park. Right behind my house :)

I love the Japanese and Chinese Gardens near my old house. Used to visit them whenever I felt emo.
It's been a long while since I last went there, not because I'm emo no more, but because I simply don't have the time to! Look at what Uni has done to me, I'm feeling guilty for just taking a stroll in a park behind my block!!?

Quoting the infamous Mr Tony Hayward, "I'd like my life back!"

What a bizarre-looking tree you are!
