Chris in Wonderland

You won't believe what I just saw!!!!
For a moment I thought I was dreaming too!

Instead of Mr Rabbit, I saw Mr Giant Lizard!

Just like me, he was taking a stroll in the Chinese Garden ;)

Pretty fat huh?

I was praying that he would come closer and let me snap a clearer picture. Lo and behold, a wish come true!! :D
Should have brought my DSLR along! >_<

Drawing close to the pedestrian path...

About 2 meters away

Look at the length of his tongue!!!!
At least 20cm, I dare say!
And the body? About 1.5 meters!

We were in such a close proximity
It may not seem so from the picture, but I was standing really close to this scary-looking reptile.
My heart was in my mouth as I took the last few shots; we were both staring at each other with greatest degree of tension and wariness, contemplating if the other would bite. Haha.

The closest I could go before it vanished into the tunnel connecting to the lake
Phew~! I survived! hahaha.

I didn't chase after him like Alice would. If I had done so, could I have possibly tasted some magical potion? ;)

A carnivore!

The last time I entered the Chinese Garden was to accompany my dear grandpa and big aunt, when they came for a visit last year. We were touring the West Wing back then.

This morning I sought after the East Wing, where the Fragrance Garden is.
I toured the area thrice, not because it was That fantastic, but because I lost my direction....lol.

A Pair Made in Heaven

Let's paint them red before the evil Queen chops off our heads!! ;)

Sweet aroma in the air.

More variations should be added to the Fragrance Garden. It will then be a true paradise :)

Pretty Hibiscus

What a hilarious combination!!!

Gloomy Day

碧玉妆成一树高,
万条垂下绿丝绦。
不知细叶谁裁出,
二月春风似剪刀。

So artistic ;)

Seen this somewhere? ;)

Just as I was about to return home, it started raining cats and dogs!!!

How funny, my father was telling me before I left home, "you shouldn't just walk, you need to start jogging."

He must be really glad, for I was not only jogging, I ended up Running!  Hahaha! But it came to a point when I gave up, not a single cm square of my skin was dry! What a crazy weather.  ;(

The lizard looked scary. Like the kind you can see in the zoo.
